Zǐ is purple in Mandarin. It also carries deeper meanings such as beauty and grace.
ZiBoo towels utilize bamboo that dries your hair quickly and ensures sustainability. Bamboo also has symbolic meaning of rapid, strong growth and longevity.
When deciding on a name, I knew I wanted to pay homage to my Chinese heritage that blessed me with such long hair. I originally planned to use the Mandarin word for bamboo: Zhúzǐ, but I then noticed something. The last part of Zhúzǐ was my old Chinese name! I was given the name Zǐ (purple in Mandarin) by the orphanage I lived in because they found me as a baby wearing purple. While I no longer go by Zǐ, I take pride in where I came from, and I translate a lot of that pride to my hair; however, I have been resorting to folding my hair in half to use the hair towels on today's market. And once my hair is dry, I struggle to find a claw clip that securely holds all my hair. Through ZiBoo, I am on a mission to help others take the best care of their hair so they can also take pride in healthy, long hair. That journey is starting with claw clips specifically made for long, thick hair and bamboo towels made to wrap around ALL of your hair, not just the first 20 inches of it.
